From my childhood I have possessed an interest in nature. I remember copying drawings from my parents’ copy of “Audubon’s Birds Of America”. Later in middle school I somehow stumbled my way through the dreaded art class. Four decades later after overseas travels and residencies and a career in the zoo field I took a class in watercolor. During my watercolor phase I attended classes presented by Mira White and Terry Madden. I next waded into water soluble oils which allowed me to continue the watercolor effect in my painting. Drifting back to my first drawing experience I moved on to colored pencil which I still find satisfying. Since the introduction of the first iPad digital art has become a part of my dabbling repertoire.
